Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:

• Design and develop a comprehensive and engaging Biology curriculum that aligns with the educational standards and objectives.

Classroom Instruction:

• Deliver effective and interactive lessons to students, utilizing various teaching methods and technologies to cater to different learning styles.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

Assessment and Evaluation:

• Develop and administer assessments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate students' understanding and progress.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance.

Lab Management:

• Supervise and conduct laboratory sessions, ensuring a safe and well-equipped environment for hands-on learning experiences.
• Incorporate practical experiments and demonstrations to enhance students' understanding of biological concepts.

Individualized Support:

• Provide additional support and guidance to students who may require extra help in grasping complex biological concepts.
• Conduct remedial sessions and tutorials as needed.

Professional Development:

• Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of Biology and education.
• Participate in workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with colleagues and department heads to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to the overall academic program.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' progress and academic goals.

Extracurricular Involvement:

• Actively participate in and support extracurricular activities related to Biology, such as science clubs, field trips, and science fairs.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Biology or a related field.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification.
• Previous teaching experience at the higher secondary school level is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for the subject and dedication to student success.
